INDEPENDENT BY DESIGN

this is not your Major Industry Charts

Major industry charts are built FOR large-scale commercial activity, favoring already-visible songs and artists.
they measure mass-market momentum through streams, sales, radio airplay, or platform-based formulas.

the PDX Radio Charts are built for something different:

real listener action,
independent artist discovery,
and transparent fan-powered movement.

We support independent artists by helping them gain and track momentum
through AUDIENCE requests, reported airplay, and listener impressions.

That makes the PDX Radio Charts one of the most unique chart systems FOR independent music:

request-driven, artist-focused, listener-powered,
built outside the traditional industry gatekeeping machine.

HOW THE CHARTS WORK

2. we Review the Submission

qualified tracks will be accepted for rotation (No guaranteed acceptance.)

3. Accepted Tracks get Added to Rotation
Once approved, tracks are added to our playlists and programming that fit best.
over time these track will begin to build up a play count.

4. fans Request Music
Accepted tracks in rotation are available for requests.
These song requests drive the PDX Radio Charts 100%.

5. More Requests Create More Momentum
More requests can lead to more plays, more NEW listener impressions,
and more visible proof of audience support and reach.

6. dope independent Artists Get Heard Worldwide

7. rise and shine in real time, over time, and all time
