PDX Radio Interview FAQ's
How much does an interview cost?
Standard interview production is $50 total,
including A $25 non-refundable reservation fee required to secure your date and time. The reservation fee is applied toward the total, The remaining balance is due by the day of interview.
What does the package include?

How long does the interview take?
length can vary depending on the conversation, but most interviews are approximately 30–45 minutes.
Do I have to be in Portland?
No. Artists outside the Portland area can participate through an online interview. However, If you are local to Portland or expect to be in the area, an in-studio interview is preferrable.
Can I share the interview on my own platforms?
Yes. We encourage you to share the final recording with your audience and use it in your EPK, website, press outreach, booking materials, social media, and other artist promotional materials.
Can I stream the interview live on my own social media?
Yes. You may choose to share or livestream your online interview through your own social platforms while the interview is happening.
​  If you plan to do this, please have your setup prepared in advance so it does not interfere with the interview audio, video, or connection quality.
Will my social media or website be shown during the interview?
Yes. Your social media handle and/or website will be displayed prominently during the interview so viewers know where to find, follow, and support you.
Do I need to submit my music to PDX Radio before booking an interview?
No. Interview booking and music submission are separate processes. You do not need to have music in PDX Radio rotation to be interviewed. To be considered for airplay, submit your track to the PDX Radio Music Room here: PDX Radio Music Submission
Does booking an interview guarantee airplay / promo?
No. Payment does not guarantee favorable coverage, airplay, chart placement, editorial treatment, or any other programming outcome. 
What happens after I book a session?
After your interview date and time are reserved, you will be directed to our short interview intake form.
What materials should I send in before my interview?
None are required but you can include things like:
  • Brief biography / EPK link
  • Current or upcoming release info
  • music Streaming links
  • Social media / website links
  • logo / Artwork / promotional images
  • Topics you want to discuss or avoid
  • Recent Career highlights or accomplishments
  • Upcoming projects, performances, or announcements
  • Any other information you want us to review or include in the interview
Why is the $25 retainer non-refundable?
The $25 retainer is non-refundable because it reserves your scheduled interview time and begins the preparation process.
It is applied toward your total balance.
What if I need to cancel / reschedule?
Your booking confirmation email will include a Cancel / Reschedule link for your session. If you need to make a change, please use the link in your confirmation email to either cancel your or select another available date and time instead.
Rescheduling and cancellations remain subject to the PDX Radio Interview Requirements, including the non-refundable reservation fee policy.
Can managers, publicists, labels, and other representatives book for an artist?
Yes. An authorized representative may coordinate the interview on behalf of an artist. the artist information and interview materials still need to be completed through the appropriate intake process.
Will I receieve a copy of the interview?
The completed interview recording is made available to you for sharing and promotional use as part of the interview package. Expect a wait time of 3-5 business days after the day of your interview for final edits and file delivery.
