The only full‑service community archive in the U.S. devoted to preserving the rich musical heritage of Albina, historically Portland’s Black neighborhood. The nonprofit digitized over 32 TB of recordings, photos, oral histories, and memorabilia from the Albina community spanning the 1960s–’80s. Black Music Project
A national online exhibit with a mission to preserve and highlight the legacy of Black American music—from blues and jazz to soul and hip-hop. Supported by Fractured Atlas, BMP presents engaging short-form artist stories and exhibits like “Portland: The Lost City of Jazz”, showcasing the city’s little-known but vital Black music history.
